The Columbia City Parks and Recreation Department will be holding junior golf tournaments throughout the summer.

The events will be held on July 22nd at Eel River golf course and August 10th at The Links of Eagle Glen golf course. Both tournaments start at 8am and the cost is $10 per child with the top three finishers getting awards. You must register one week before the event and the age categories are 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, and 14-16.

Columbia City girls' track team sent two athletes to the State track finals on the campus of Indiana University on Friday evening. Mallory Vandersaul competed in the pole vault and Kinsey Kauffman in the high jump.

Vandersaul finished 10th in the pole vault, vaulting to a height of 10-09. Kauffman finished 14th clearing the bar at 5-02.
