Carolyn A. Green, 65, of Columbia City, passed away at 8:16 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at her residence.
Born on February 13, 1945 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Robert V. Benson and Virginia P. (Peters) Jackson.
She is a lifetime resident of Columbia City and graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class 1963. On October 30, 1990, she married Fredrick K. Green, Jr. in Columbia City. A wife, mother and homemaker, she also worked at Wal-Mart for 7 years.
Survivors include her husband, Fredrick K. Green, Jr. of Columbia City; son, Matthew (Amy) R. Boggs of Wawaka, Ind; daughter, Tracie (Dale) M. Wicker of Columbia City; mother, Virginia P. (Larry) Jackson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; sister, Marilyn (Mike) I. Cramer of Huntertown, Ind.; and 6 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert V. Benson.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Eel River Cemetery, 11400 West Carroll Road, Churubusco, IN. Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Green to the Columbia City Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
