Bonnie D. McKibben, 79, of Fort Wayne, died at 4:42 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Parkview Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born June 28, 1930 in Larwill, a daughter of Roscoe and Mildred (Heady) Kile. She graduated from Larwill High School.

On October 22, 1949 she was united in marriage to Ralph McKibben. They have always made their home in Fort Wayne.

She was a self employed beautician for over 60 years.

A charter member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, she was also a member of Kappa Chi Delta of Pi Omicron and enjoyed her membership at Parkview Fitness.

A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, she enjoyed her friendships and counted them as her greatest treasures on earth.

Surviving relatives included her husband of 60 years, Ralph; three children, Marsha (Jim) Wulpi, Lisa Schwaberow and Mark (Karen) McKibben; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Wulpi, Ben, Alex & Logan Wulpi, Dan, Olivia & Levi Schwaberow and Dustin & Chance McKibben; and a sister, Pat Little, all of Fort Wayne.

Her oldest daughter, Linda McKibben, preceded her in death.

The funeral services were held Monday, December 21, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. The entombment was in Concordia Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

Arrangements are by Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
