Floyd R. Brandenburg, 83

Floyd R. Brandenburg, 83, of South Whitley, died at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born September 9, 1925, in Cleveland Township, Whitley County, a son of William and Jennie (Freeman) Brandenburg.  His formative years where spent at Washington Center, Whitley County, and later Larwill.  He attended South Whitley High School.

On November 29, 1943, he was inducted into the U.S. Army where he served in the 264th Medical Battalion in the Pacific Theater during the battle of New Guinea, Northern Solomons and Luzon.  He was honorably discharged February 3, 1946.

On March 7, 1947, he was united in marriage to Doris L. Bishop.  They made there home in South Whitley.

He was employed for 39 years with the former Gripco in South Whitley and spent most of his career as the night superintendent.  After his retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively around the country.

He was a life member and past commander of VFW 2919 South Whitley.  An avid hunter and fisherman, he was also a top trap shooter in Whitley County.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 62 years, Doris; 5 children, Thomas W. Brandenburg, Fort Wayne, Judith A. Hall, Yakima, Washington, Terry L. (Priscilla) Brandenburg, South Whitley, William C. (Elizabeth) Brandenburg, North Manchester and  Jeanna (John) Moore, Pierceton; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and a sister, Joan Willard of Pierceton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis Bennett.

The funeral service will be at  11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel , South Whitley with Rev. JP Freeman, senior pastor of N. Manchester Congregational Christian Church officiating.  The burial will be in the South Whitley Cemetery with VFW 2919 presenting military honors.  The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dana L. “Dan” Davis, 76

Dana L. “Dan” Davis, 76, of Fort Wayne, died at 8:48 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the Hospice Home.

He was born November 17, 1932, in Silver Lake, Indiana, a son of Rupert and Olive (Amiss) Davis. As a young boy, his family moved to Columbia City. He graduated from Columbia City High School in 1950.

On March 12, 1953, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged March 15, 1961.

On January 8, 1966, he was united in marriage to Sharlene A. Rider. They made their home in Columbia City until 1973 when they moved to Fort Wayne.

He began his employment with the Department of Defense in October 1961. He later started working for GTE and retired in December 1992 from Verizon with 25 years of service.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Sharlene; two sons, Bill Davis of Fort Wayne and Mathew (Tricia) Davis of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Alex Davis, Logan, Emily & Ashley Davis; and two step-grandchildren, Garamy & Sam Whitmore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman Davis.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation from Noon to 2 p.m. Monday.

The burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake with military honors presented by a United States Army detail.

Preferred memorials are to Hospice Home.

Jeffrey Lynn "Indian" Enyeart, 59

Jeffrey Lynn "Indian" Enyeart, 59, of South Whitley passed away at 7:06 a.m., August 28, 2009 at his home.

Born on August 30, 1949 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Charles D. and June M. (Shultz) Enyeart. 

A lifetime resident of South Whitley, he graduated from South Whitley High School with the Class of 1967.

On June 8, 1992, he married Bernice Hackworth in Tennessee.

For 35 years, he worked at Zimmer, Warsaw, as a factory worker retiring in April of 2008.

He was a member of South Whitley Church of the Brethren, South Whitley Kiwanis Club and a volunteer with the Cleveland Township Fire Department for 19 years. A former coach with South Whitley Little League, he also played with the South Whitley Men’s Basketball Intramural League. In his spare time, he enjoyed local high school sports, traveling, outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, camping and canoeing. 

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Enyeart of South Whitley; daughters, Jacquie (Matt) Harkness of Silver Lake and JoEllen (Randy Sr.) Richardson of Owensboro, Kentucky; a son, Jeremy Enyeart of South Whitley; step-daughter, Tammy Fisher of Mentone; mother, June M. Enyeart of South Whitley; a brother, Wendell (Laura) Enyeart of Larwill; a sister, Alison (Dave) Mendenhall of Lima, Ohio; grandchildren, Brian Herold of Mentone; Ariel Harkness of Silver Lake; Ciora Harkness of Chesapeake, Virginia; Zachary Harkness of Silver Lake; Breanna and Mason Parker and Randy Richardson, Jr. all of Owensboro, Kentucky; and a niece, Jayna Enyeart of South Whitley.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Frank & Effie Enyeart and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shultz. 

Visitation is 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home in Columbia City. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Baughman of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley. Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Enyeart to the Whitley County Humane Society or Parkview Whitley Home Health and Hospice. Ann A. McCombs, 79

Ann A. McCombs, 79, of Columbia City , IN died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne .  Born April 13, 1930, she was the daughter of Henry and Celia (Forman) Guldice.
She graduated from Portland High School with the Class of 1948.  On June 13, 1953, she was married to Milton E. McCombs in Angola. For 20 years, she worked as a unit secretary at St. Joseph Hospital. In 2003, she moved from her home in Allen County to Whitley County.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Milton E. McCombs of Columbia City; daughter, Susan L. (Doug) Duddy of Kimmell; son, Michael D. McCombs of Fort Wayne; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen and Hazel Guldice and an infant brother.
At the request of the family, there will be no service or visitation.
Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. McCombs to the donor's choice of charity. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home in Columbia City.

Robert J. Cassell, 85

Robert J. Cassell, 85, of Larwill, died at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne where he was admitted on Monday evening.

He was born July 3, 1924, in Fort Wayne, a son of Archie J. and Ella E. (Eickhoff) Cassell. His formative years were spent in Fort Wayne where he graduated from Central Catholic School.

On March 12, 1943, he was inducted in the United States Army, serving in Europe during World War II. He was honorably discharged October 24, 1945.

Following his retirement from Harvester in 1974 with over 32 years of service, he moved to Larwill.

His memberships included American Legion Post #47 in Fort Wayne where he served on the Color Guard & Firing Squad, La Société Des 40 Hommes Et 8 Chevaux, Little Turtle Archeological Society and Whitley County Historical Society. He frequently gave historical presentations for local school children and was recently recognized by Indian Springs Middle School for sharing a love of history with area children. Additionally, Cassell was a regular volunteer at the Whitley County Historical Society and with the Mihsihkinaahkwa Pow Wow.

He is survived by a brother, Donald (Doris) Cassell of Fort Wayne; three nephews, Robert C. (Nicki) Cassell of Larwill, David (Darlene) Cassell of Woodburn and James A. Cassell of Fort Wayne; seven great nieces and nephews, Bobbi Jo Cassell, Melissa Henshaw, Courtnie Law, Brook Earhart, Alexus Lynch, Austin Cassell and Jeremiah Cassell; and a great-great-nephew, Tristin Miller.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Father Larry Kramer officiating. The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne with military honors presented by the U.S. Army Detail.

Jeffrey Alan "Jake" Braunsdorf, 49

Our brother, our father, our son, our friend, Jeffrey Alan "Jake" Braunsdorf, 49, returned to the presence of the Lord on August 21, 2009.

A man with more friends than there are leaves on a tree, Jake started his journey on Sept. 15, 1959, in South Bend, born to Warren "Dyke" and Camilla "Rosie" Braunsdorf.  Always the gentleman, he let the lady go first, following his twin sister Margaret into the world.

He attended Marquette Elementary School, Holy Cross Grade School, Central High School and LaSalle High School in South Bend where he participated in many activities.

In 1981, he married Wendy Hostetler, with whom he had two sons, Jeremy and Joshua.

He served in the United Sates Marine Corps at Parris Island, South Carolina, Okinawa, Japan and South Korea.

He then married Sheila Jarrell and in 1993 became a loving father to her children, Ashley and James Tash, as well as their two children, Dustin and Kaytlynn Braunsdorf.

He worked at Dekko Heating Technologies, and for the last five years was production manager at Hyndman Industrial Products. In those five years, they become a second family to him.

Jake was in a wide variety of undertakings including coaching soccer and football at the YMCA. He was a proud member of American Legion Post 98 and the Leatherneck Breakfast Club.

St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church was the center of the family's practice of faith.

He is survived by his parents, Dyke and Rosie; and his siblings, Mary (Mrs. Jerry Baranowski), Margaret "Maggie" Ray, Colleen Echard, Judith Kolber, Timothy (Tammy) Braunsdorf and Brian (Carol) Braunsdorf, all of the South Bend area. His six children, Jeremy (Beverly) Braunsdorf of Vidalia, Georgia, Joshua of Mishawaka, Ashley (Nicholas) Brewer, James Tash, Dustin and Kaytlynn Braunsdorf of Columbia City; and three grandchildren, Chloe and Cadence Braunsdorf, and Carsyn Brewer; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Tragically, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Justin Kolber in 2005.

His family would like to give a special thanks to his extended family in Columbia City, Mitch and Theresa Hoffman and Cobra Rhodes.

A trust has been created for his children at Teachers Credit Union, and gifts to it would be graciously appreciated in lieu of flowers. Checks may be made payable to Warren or Brian Braunsdorf.

A memorial Mass is being planned for Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in Columbia City. The church is located at 315 South Main Street, Columbia City.

A celebration of life will be held on September 15, 2009. Details are still pending for this event.

Archie C. Kappel, 78

Archie C. Kappel, 78, of Columbia City, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at New Haven Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident since April 2009.

He was born July 6, 1931, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son of Frank and Alice (Weiskittle) Kappel. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Cincinnati.

On March 12, 1947, he enlisted in the United States Army. During the Korean Conflict he received two bronze stars. He was honorably discharged April 25, 1956.

On December 4, 1976, he was united in marriage to Kenna L. (Heinbaugh) Enyeart. They have always made their home in Columbia City and began wintering in Inverness, Florida in 1993.

He was employed at Allis Chalmers and General Electric, both in Cincinnati, Arvin Industries in Columbus, Indiana, Magnavox in Fort Wayne and retired from ITT in January 1993.

His memberships included Grace Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #98 and Elks #1517.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Kenna; nine children, Archie (Pam) Kappel Jr. of Terre Haute, Kim (Patty) Kappel of Columbus, Karen (Dave) Hensley of Midlothian, Virginia, Kathy (Richard) Waterman of Terre Haute, Kris (David) Schmitt of Fort Wayne, Kevin (Lisa) Kappel of Nashville, Tennessee, Keith (Brenda) Kappel of Sanford, North Carolina, Kasey (Michael) Musto of Cedar City, Utah, and Deb (David) Geiger of Churubusco; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Stevens and Jenny (Harvey) Conn, both of Villages, Florida; and a brother, Frank (Pat) Kappel of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Nolt Cemetery. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wavalene M. Smith, 71

Wavalene M. Smith, 71, a resident of Fort Wayne, died Thursday evening August 20, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne following an extended illness. She was a former resident of Florida, and prior to that had lived in rural Allen County.

Wavalene was born January 6, 1938, in Gomer, Ohio, a daughter of the late Evan and Letha (Plikert) Evans. She graduated from Gomer High School with the class of 1956, and was united in marriage to Wesley Lee Smith in Gomer on November 14, 1959. He survives.

She was a homemaker,  an avid gardener, loved her family and kittens. She sadly missed her beloved late cat, Bubbles.

Survivors include her husband of almost 50 years, Lee; their children Donald L. Smith and David L. (Jill) Smith both of Fort Wayne, Robert (Denise) Smith of Valrico, Florida; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday,  August 25, 2009, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco,  with Rev. Larry Smith, pastor of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 8 p. m. at the funeral home.

Margaret Wilson, 88

Margaret “Grandma” Wilson, 88, a resident of rural Columbia City in Smith Township, died at 12:30 a. m. on Thursday, August 20, 2009, at the home of her son, north of Larwill, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Fort Wayne on February 27, 1921, a daughter of Clem F. and Margaret Edith (Wolford) Neher.  She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from North Side High School in 1939.

On December 7, 1940, she was married to Howard W. Wilson, and had lived at her present home in Smith Township in Whitley County for the past 61 years.

A 34 year employee of Sprint, she had worked there as a telephone operator, and retired in 1981 as an executive secretary.   She was later employed at McDonald’s in Churubusco, and was affectionately remembered as “Grandma” to the staff and patrons there.

She attended the Churubusco United Methodist Church and in her leisure time enjoyed needle work, quilting, reading, ceramics, fishing and also enjoyed traveling.

Mr. Wilson preceded her in death unexpectedly on July 2, 1981.

The surviving relatives include her children, Pamela Hinrichs and Cynthia A. [David] Crooks, both of Churubusco, James L. [Ann] Wilson of Decatur, Carl A. [Bonnie] Wilson of Larwill, Kenneth E. [Lana] Wilson and Keith E. Wilson, both of Pierceton, Jon H. [Cheri] Wilson of Spencerville, and Kevin P. [Sharon] Wilson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 34 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Naomi Parks; two brothers Jim Neher and Eugene Neher; and by two grandsons.

Funeral services were held Monday, August, 24, 2009, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev Corinne K. Boruff, pastor of Churubusco United Methodist Church, officiating.

Mary M. Silverest Bucher, 89

Mary M. Silverest Bucher, 89, a former resident of Eel River Township and of Fort Wayne, died at 9:00 a. m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne following an extended illness.

Mrs. Bucher was born on October 15, 1919 in Montpelier, a daughter of Charles D. and Inas (Spaulding) Wilson, and retired as a clerk assistant from Byron Health Center in Fort Wayne in 1987.

In 1937, she was united in marriage to Curtis A. Silverest. He preceded her in death in 1967. On November 8, 1969 she was married to Gerald L. Bucher.  Mr. Bucher preceded her in death on July 26, 2008.

She was a member of the Ari Church of God, east of Churubusco.

The surviving relatives include her children Marsha (Jerry) Austermann of Lake Orion, Mich., Carolyn Jo Silverest of Fort Wayne, Charles K. [Stella] Silverest of Forsyth, Mo., Richard C. [Shelba] Silverest of Coats, N. C., Thomas C. [Joyce] Silverest of Howell, Mich., Curtis R. Silverest of Auburn, Roger [Devonna L.] Bucher of Fort Wayne, Gary [Sue] Bucher of Auburn, and Dennis [Kim] Bucher of Churubusco; 37 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by a son Jack L. Silverest; three daughters Ina May Silverest, Geraldine M. Lyons, and Gloria Galante; two sisters Ruth Meadows and Frances Payter; and three brothers Arthur W. Wilson, Cryil A. Wilson, and Henry M. Wilson.

Funeral services were held August 15, 2009, at the Silver Creek Church of God near Silver Lake with Pastor Carroll McNutt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Nedra R. McEowen, 91

Nedra R. McEowen, 91, a former resident of Columbia City in Smith Township, died Sunday morning August 9, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.   She had lived for the past four and one half years as a resident in Renaissance Village Nursing Care Center in Fort Wayne.

Nedra was born May 31, 1918, in Cecil, Ohio, a daughter of the late John A. and Cora Anna (Byers) Glander.  As a young woman she worked at General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne, and moved to Smith Twp in 1954. She was united in marriage in Fort Wayne on July 23, 1939, to Hubert McEowen. Mr. McEowen preceded her in death on January 26, 1977.

Nedra was an avid lover of music, playing the piano, organ and violin.  She loved pets and bird watching, and was a former member of the Smith Twp. Home Extension Club.

Her survivors include her children Wanda (Earl) Howell of Columbia City, Juanita (Jerry) Miller of  Hoagland, Marcia (Mark) Hollopeter of Mason, Michigan, David W. (Vonda) McEowen of Columbia City, Dr. Edwin L. (Mary Jo) McEowen of Columbia City, and Roger A. (Jean) McEowen of Ankeny, Iowa.  Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husband; she was preceded in death by an infant brother Edward Glander, and by a sister Mary Smith.

Funeral services were held August 12, 2009 at the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Paul D. White officiating. Burial followed in the Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco.

Evelyn A. Garman, 77

Evelyn A. Garman, 77, a resident of rural LaOtto, died on Sunday August 2, 2009 in the Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla  following a brief illness. She had lived most of her adult life in the Huntertown and LaOtto area.

Evelyn was born November 15, 1931 in Franklin County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Paul A. and Marie E. (Kernebeck) Gildehaus. She was united in marriage in Fort Wayne,  on January 6, 1951 to Donald A. Garman. Mr. Garman preceded her in death on October 22, 2004.

She had worked for Hep’s Groceries for five years in Huntertown, and then for Byron Health Center in Fort Wayne, retiring from there in 1993 as the linen clerk. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avilla. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who’s hobbies included, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Pastor Sherri (Ed) Long of LaOtto, Dan A. (Lisa) Garman of New Haven, Dave (Sarah) Garman of Huntertown, Kim A. (Jim) Dietsch of Pierceton, and Dee A. (Jack) Mossburg of LaOtto; her sister, Mary Ann Grill of St. Louis, Mo; three brothers Alvin (Mary) Gildehaus, of Cedar Hill, Mo., Raymond Gildehaus of St. Clair, Mo., and Richard (Deloris) Gildehaus of Arnold, Mo. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, “Bandit.”

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Leona Heil, Marilyn Gildehaus, and Laverne Stoder.

The funeral was held August 8, 2009. Burial was in the Covington Memorial Gardens  in Fort Wayne.

Larry W. Sims, 62

Larry W. Sims, 62, of South Whitley, died at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne where he had been admitted Sunday evening.
He was born September 28, 1946, in Lebanon, Indiana, a son of Willis and Geraldine (Cunningham) Sims. His formative years where spent in South Whitley where he attended South Whitley Elementary and High School.
On October 2, 1964, he was united in marriage to Judy Grubbs. After a several years of moving around the country following his construction job erecting high tension electrical transmission towers, they returned to South Whitley.
He was employed several years as a custodian at Whitko High School and for the past 31 years as a highly skilled polisher at Fox Products, South Whitley.
He was an avid deer hunter and loved tending his vegetable garden.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 44 years, Judy; children, Gary (Jodi) Sims of South Whitley, Lisa (Brian) Keirn of Claypool, and Doug (Kristal) Sims of Pierceton,; 7 grandchildren, Jordan and Sydney Sims, Brian II and Breanna Keirn and Devin, Dylan, Kayce Sims; four sisters, Phyllis (Gerald) Stayer, N. Manchester, Fran (Dick) Adams of Comfort, TX, Judy (Jon) Wilmot and Rita Shelton both of Columbia City; three brothers, Chester (Liz) Sims of Churubusco, Charles D. Lee E. Lopshire, 61

Lee E. Lopshire, 61, of Huntington County, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at his home. He had been in failing health for the past 10 months.

He was born March 30, 1948, in Fort Wayne, a son of Ralph E. and Arneda G. (Haney) Lopshire. His formative years were spent in Union Township, Whitley County. He graduated from Columbia City High School.

During the Vietnam Era, he served in Germany with the United States Army.

On August 5, 1972, he was united in marriage to Vicki S. Little. They made their first home in North Manchester before moving to their home in Huntington County in 1973.

His memberships included Lions Club of Bippus.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Vicki; two children, Troy (Michele) Lopshire of Huntington County and Shannon (Kweku) Obed of Oak Park, Illinois; five grandchildren; a sister, Martha Garrison of Sun Lake, Arizona; and three brothers, Paul Lopshire of South Whitley, Gary Lopshire of Round Lake and David Lopshire of Covington, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Autism Research in care of Indiana University Medical Center.

Bart A. West, 46, of Columbia City , died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 7:34 p.m. at Parkview Hospital Fort Wayne due to complications from a stroke. 

Born March 28, 1963, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, he was the son of Henry William and Daisy M. "Bunny" (Irwin) West. 

Raised in Muncie, he attended Muncie Central High School. In 1986, he moved to Fort Wayne and lived settling in Columbia City in 2002.  He was employed with Creative Sign Resources in Fort Wayne as a shop supervisor.  He was an avid bowler and Nascar fan. 

Survivors include his daughter, Nicole West and son, Jeremy West of Columbia City; mother, Bunny (Larry) Farotto of Tavares, Florida; brother, Scott (Trudie) West of Fort Wayne; sister, Kimberly Davis of Muncie; and former wife, Sheila West-Wilhelm of Columbia City; an aunt, Sue Collins of Plymouth, Indiana, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Henry W. West and grandparents.

William "Bill" Robert Hively, 62, of Fort Wayne passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Born on September 17, 1946 in Noble County, he was the son of Guy R. and Evelyn B. (Smith) Hively. 

Raised in Thorncreek Township, he lived in the Fort Wayne and Columbia City areas, residing at the Anthony Wayne Service Group Home since 1988. Mr. Hively was employed as a factory worker through Anthony Wayne Services at Filmore Industries, Fort Wayne.   

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Guy R. and Ellen Hively of Columbia City; sisters, Cindy (Steven) Thompson, Ginger (Dan) Ford and Ginny (Mike) Rowland all of Columbia City; and a brother, Randy (Lola) Hively of Claypool.

His mother, Evelyn Hively, preceded him in death.

Von DeWayne Bridegam, 72, of Columbia City, passed away at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne where he recently underwent surgery.

Born on July 21, 1937, in Whitley County, he was the son of Carl Marion and Loretta Blondena (Armel) Bridegam.

Von spent his childhood in Columbia City and attended Columbia City High School.

On July 13, 1963, he was united in marriage to Karen L. Hippensteel at First Church of God by Reverend Alvin Link.

For 40 years, he was employed as a threader by Viking, Inc., in Columbia City.

Survivors include his wife, Karen L. Bridegam of Columbia City; children, Lavonne L. (Verlin) Schneider of Roanoke, Alan D. (Victoria) Bridegam of Kendallville, Marion G. (Julie) Bridegam of Edinburg, Pennsylvania, Toby N. (Terri) Bridegam of Ossian, Andrew J. Bridegam of Columbia City and Jon W. (Wendy) Bridegam of Albion. Nancy L. Line, 76, of Columbia City, died at 11:18 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Miller’s Merry Manor where she had been a resident since Monday, August 10.  She had been in failing health for the past 18 months.

She was born January 24, 1933, in Collins, Indiana, a daughter of Clifford F. and Velma L. “Bonnie” (Judd) Deutsch. In 1942, her family moved to Columbia City. She graduated from Columbia City High School.

On June 4, 1955, she was united in marriage to Edison D. Line. They made their home in Columbia City and later Crooked Lake before moving to Washington Township in 1965. In 1985, they moved to their home in Columbia Township.

She was employed at Blue Bell from 1957 until 1978, Whitley County REMC for a couple of years and Flexible from 1989 until 1998.

She attended Oak Grove Church of God, was a member of the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Delta Theta Tau sorority and was a former Jaycee Wife.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Ed; two sons, Darin Line of Berne and Mark (Rhonda) Line of Crown Point; five grandchildren, Doug Line, Amanda Line, Austin Line, Collin Raiser and Luke Raiser; a brother, Gary (Emily) Deutsch; a sister, Janice (Chuck) Lowe; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Deutsch, all of Columbia City.

She was preceded in death by infant sons, Michael Duane Line and Craig Alan Line; her parents; and a brother, Donald Deutsch.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Rev. Steve Johnson, pastor of Oak Grove Church of God, officiating. The burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Betty Katherine Scutt, 86, of Columbia City passed away at 6:40 a.m. August 18, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her home.

Born December 26, 1922 in Corydon, Indiana, she was the daughter of Amzie and Clella (Davis) Eaton.  

She graduated from Corydon High School with the Class of 1940.

On August 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to Pastor Morris E. Scutt in Corydon. A former resident of various Indiana cities including Corydon, Columbus, Spencer and Connersville, she lived in Columbia City since 1961.

From 1969-1980 she worked at P.N. Hirsch, Columbia City. In 1980, she became manager at Dollar General, Columbia City, and in 1983, she began working with her daughter, Rebecca Ball, as the bookkeeper for Our Compliments Gift Shop in Columbia City, until her retirement in 1993.

She attended Community Bible Church, Columbia City.

Survivors include sons, Morris V. (Cledah) Scutt of Bloomington and Paul J. (Carol) Scutt of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters, Rebecca Ball of Columbia City, Rachel E. (Richard) Presser of Fort Wayne, Leah S. (Ronald) Wigand of Caro, Michigan, and Marcia E. (Duane) DuCharme of Columbia City; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Pastor Morris Scutt, and grandson Scot Scutt and granddaughter Diana Asbury.

Robert Samuel Wells, 83

Robert Samuel Wells, age 83, of Warsaw passed away at 9:45 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009 at Mason Health Care Center, Warsaw.

Born on August 10, 1926 in Warsaw, he was the son of Samuel and Mildred Carrie (Hill) Wells. 

A lifetime resident of the Warsaw area, he attended Warsaw High School. He served in World War II in the Pacific Campaign on the USS Albert Grant.

In 1946, he married Josephine Reiff Galbreath Wells and they had one son, Richard Wells. In 1963, he married Geraldine Pressler Hoffer in Warsaw.

He was employed as a delivery truck driver retiring from Purity Cylinder Gases, Inc. in 1988. His memberships included Warsaw American Legion Post #49, VFW Post #1126 and Pheasants Forever. 

Survivors include his son, Richard (Frances) Wells of Pierceton; brother, Max Wells of Kendallville; step-sons, Dan (Marlene) Hoffer, Paul (Judy) Hoffer and Ron (Loetta) Hoffer all of Warsaw; a grandson, Todd Wells of North Webster; numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Wells, brother, Charles "Chuck" Wells and sister, Emma Jane Secor.  

Graveside service is Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Military honors will be presented by American Legion Post #49, Warsaw.

Anna Irene Schwartz, 87

Anna Irene Schwartz, 87, of South Whitley, died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, at her home.

She was born April 18, 1922, in Midland, Michigan, a daughter of William and Clara (Miller) Miller. At the age of 13, her family moved to Grabill.

On January 16, 1942, she married David Schwartz and they moved to their farm in Cleveland Township, Whitley County in 1975. Mr. Schwartz died June 17, 2008.

She is survived by six sons, John Henry (Margaret) Schwartz, Rueben Schwartz, Samuel (Amelia) Schwartz, Michael (Margaret) Schwartz, Amos (Emma) Schwartz and David (Marie) Schwartz, all of South Whitley; six daughters, Clara (Jesse) Graber of Goshen, Rosa (Jonas) Zehr, Mary (Jacob) Miller, Anna (Jacob) Schwartz, all of Grabill, Sarah (Edwin) Schmucker, New Haven and Susan (Joe) Steury, Quincy, Michigan; 92 grandchildren; 216 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorene Schmucker of New Haven and Sarah Mae Schmucker of Grabill.

He was preceded in death by daughter-in-laws Martha and Wilma; and six grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the family residence, 6180 West County Road 1000 South with Victor Schmucker, officiating.  The burial will be in the Cleveland Township Amish Cemetery.  The visitation will be after 12 Noon Monday at the family residence until the hour of the service.

The funeral arrangements are by the Smith & Sons Miller Chapel in South Whitley.

Ralph M. Glick, 57, of rural Columbia City, died at 4:12 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009 in the emergency room at Parkview Whitley Hospital.

He was born January 2, 1952, in Tyler, Texas, a son of Irvin and June Louise (Roykowski) Glick Jr. At the age of 3, his family moved to Sandusky, Ohio. As a senior, his family moved to Fort Wayne where he graduated from Snider High School in 1970.

On August 12, 1972, he was united in marriage to Paula S. Swincher. They made their home in Fort Wayne and spent the last 15 years residing Whitley County.

He has been employed at Brandeis Machinery & Supply for the past 18 years, currently as parts manager. He also worked for Scott’s Foods in Fort Wayne as a meat cutter for more than 12 years.

He had attended First Church of God.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Paula; two children, Mercy (Rick) Bowling of Big Lake and James Glick of Columbia City; six grandchildren, Jacob Bowling, Parker Glick, Dylan Glick, Hailey Schultz, Cody Schultz and Joseph Parker; and a sister, Linda Glick of Maplewood, Minnesota.

His parents preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Rebecca Janelle Hollenbaugh,  35, of South Whitley passed away at 5:55 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

To quote her sister, "Throughout her running career Rebecca has won many ribbons and medals but all of them pale in comparison to the reward she received this morning when she ran home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

Born on November 22, 1973, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of Steven B. and Vicky P. (Hurd) Myers.

A lifetime Whitley County resident, she graduated from Whitko High School in South Whitley with the Class of 1992. She graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and also from St. Francis University with a Masters Degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner.

On October 19, 2001, she married Jade M. Hollenbaugh at Lake Wawasee. A Registered Nurse, she worked for 4 years at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, and for 5 years at Dr. James Hanus office in South Whitley. Since 2004, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Lisa Hatcher, Columbia City.

Her memberships included South Whitley United Methodist Church, CAPNT and Sigma Theta Tau sorority in South Whitley, AANP and Fort Wayne Truck Club. An avid runner, she was an active participant in Whitley County Relay For Life.

Survivors include her husband, Jade M. Hollenbaugh of South Whitley; a daughter, Lauren R. Hollenbaugh of South Whitley; a son, Jackson S. Hollenbaugh of South Whitley; her twin sister, Rachel (Jamie) N. Bowers of Warsaw ; a brother, Kyle S. Myers of South Whitley; parents, Steven B. and Vicky P. Myers of South Whitley. 

Visitation is Monday, August 17, 2009 from 2-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home in Columbia City. Lillian Eberhart, 96

Lillian Eberhart, 96, formerly of South Whitley, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Timbercrest Home, North Manchester where she had been a resident since September 12, 2006.

She was born January 27, 1913, near Fairmont, Indiana, a daughter of Lestie and Mary (Davis) Stansberry. As a young girl, her family moved to Lincolnville. She graduated from Lincolnville High School and continued her education at Taylor University.

On June 6, 1936, she was united in marriage to Wallace D. Eberhart. They made their home on a farm south of South Whitley before residing in Luther, where they owned & operated the Luther Store for three years. They returned to the farm before moving into South Whitley in October 1955. Mr. Eberhart died May 18, 1983.

She was employed at Montgomery Wards service department for 14 years and Farmer’s Elevator for 14 years.

Her memberships included South Whitley United Methodist Church, Pi Beta Club and United Women’s Fellowship.

Surviving relatives include a son and a daughter, James R. (Jeanette) Eberhart and Joan R. Eberhart; three grandchildren, Debra (Rex) Wilkinson, Dennis (Cheryl) Eberhart and Dianne (Danny) Amburgy, all of South Whitley; eight great-grandchildren, Rita Rogers, Lisa Engle, Randy Wilkinson, Julie Wilkinson, Christopher Amburgy, Ashley Eberhart, Tara Eberhart and Tyson Crain; and three great-great-grandchildren, Ryan Amburgy, Lauren Been and Ansley Crain.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Stansberry and two sisters, Geneva Dyson and Uvah Creamer.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at South Whitley United Methodist Church, 6685 W State Road 14 with one hour of visitation at the church before the service. David A. Rouch, 65, of Columbia City, passed away at 4:45 p.m. at his home Wednesday, August 12, 2009.

Born on March 3, 1944 in Whitley County, he was the son of Maurice R. "Pete" and Mary Jane T. (Allerton) Rouch. 

A lifetime Whitley County resident, he graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1962. Following graduation, he attended the Ag short course at Purdue University.

On March 25, 1965, he married Adele L. Bowie at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City. A lifetime farmer, he also worked at Warsaw Wholesale Plumbing, Warsaw, with 18 years of service.

He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church where he served on the church council. A former Whitley County Commissioner from 1980-1984, his former memberships included Board of Director for Farmer's Mutual, Whitley County Extension and Union Township Fire Department. 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Adele L. Rouch of Columbia City ; daughter, Hollie J. (Mark A.) Lamle of Columbia City; son, Peter A.  (Lisa R.) Rouch of Columbia City; 2 brothers, Richard A. (Valerie) Rouch of Columbia City and Thomas J. Rouch of Fort Wayne; 4 grandchildren, Derek D. and Drew A. Lamle, Lauren R. and Evan D. Rouch. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Peter R. Rouch.

Born on December 14, 1943, in McRoberts, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Sturgill) Kilgore.

At age 2, she moved with her family to Whitley County from Kentucky. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1962. A former employee of the S&L Truck Stop, Columbia City, with 22 years of service, she also worked for Rescare with 7 years of service. 

Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey W. (Denise) Vanderford of Monroeville, Ty P. McElroy of Columbia City and Blake E. (Cynthia) Vanderford of New Haven; daughters, Leah R. (Brent) Gibson and Julie R. (Jason) Friend both of Columbia City; brothers, Bob (Marian) Kilgore of Sun City, Arizona, and Bill (Ann) Kilgore of Fort Wayne; sisters, Una Rondeau of Janesville, Wisconsin, Elizabeth Sponaugle of Columbia City and Emma (James) Spink of Angola; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sisters, Margaret L. Gunther and Mary J. Bowling and sister, Barbara Kilgore. 

Visitation is Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home in Columbia City.

John A. Penn, 59

John A. Penn, 59, of New Haven, died at 9:27 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Parkview Hospital.

He was born November 14, 1949, in Wabash, Indiana a son of Richard D. and Doris E. (Gilbert) Penn. His formative years were spent in North Manchester and Churubusco. He attended Churubusco High School.

In August 1969, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. A gunny sergeant, he was discharged November 13, 1993.

He was a member of American Legion Post #330 and V.F.W. Post #2457, both of New Haven and was actively involved with Toys for Tots.

Surviving relatives include three daughters, Bobbi (Joe) Amore, Candus R. Penn and Karen L. Penn, all of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; a mother, Doris Krider of Kimmell; a brother, Rick (Linda) Krider of Ligonier; and three sisters, Phyllis (Doug) Herendeen of Churubusco, Linda Penn of Pennsylvania and Pamela Taflinger of Garrett.

He was preceded in death by his father and his step father, Ronald Krider.

The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Paul E. Pence, 83

Paul E. Pence, 83, a lifelong resident of Smith Township, Whitley County, died at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at his home. He had been in failing health for the past two years.

He was born January 25, 1926 in Smith Township a son of Arthur and Grace (Hively) Pence. He graduated from Churubusco High School.

On October 14, 1950 he was united in marriage to Sharon A. Herrman. In 1953, they moved to their present home near Collins.

A retired grain and livestock farmer, he was especially proud of his mint crop.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Sharon; six children, Scott (Etta) Pence of Columbia City, Larry Pence, Paul Pence, Carol Hively and Don Pence, all of Churubusco and Jennifer (Shane) Buchmiller of Muskegon, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Limecooly of Fort Wayne and Jean Nelson of Florida.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Pence and Lee Pence; and a sister, Barbara “Bobby” Laycoff.

The memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with the family receiving friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Karen A. Fett, 64

Karen A. Fett, 64, of Columbia City, passed away at 7:02 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.  

Born on April 18, 1945 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of George M. and Evelyn I. (Doty) Andorfer. 

She graduated from Churubusco High School, Churubusco, with the Class of 1963. On June 11, 1982 she married James W. Fett at Trier Ridge Church , Fort Wayne.

A native of Fort Wayne, she moved to Columbia City after her marriage.

A devoted wife and mother, she worked for Fort Wayne Newspapers for 25 years in the credit and collections department. In 1996, she began working for Dana-PTG as an assembler and packer and she was also a former employee of The Oaks, Columbia City.

She was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church, Columbia City. 

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda G. Logan of Columbia City, Amanda M. Rigsby and Alice R. Fett both of South Whitley; mother, Evelyn Andorfer of Columbia City; 7 grandchildren, Shane and Cameron Logan, Joshua Fett, Austin Logan, Kurt Rigsby, Adrianna and Nathaneal Lopez; sisters, Cheryl Ball of Fort Wayne, Christine Whiteleather of Columbia City, Charleen McSwain of Decatur and Jacalyn Lillich of Granger, Indiana; brothers, Phillip Andorfer of Columbia City and Keith Andorfer of Fort Wayne.

Her father and husband preceded her in death. 

Visitation is Friday, August 7, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home in Columbia City. Funeral service is Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.

Charles Leo Hinen, 69

Charles Leo Hinen, 69, passed away at 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009, at his rural Columbia City home.

Born on January 2, 1940, in Whitley County, he was the son of Edward J. and Luella R. (Thomas) Hinen. 

He graduated from Jefferson Center High School, Jefferson Township, Whitley County.

On July 19, 1991, he married Joann Mertes-Schenkel at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Arcola.

A lifetime farmer living on the Hinen Family Farm for the past 69 years, he formerly worked at General Electric, Fruehauf Trailers and W & W Concrete, Inc., all located in Fort Wayne.

A life time member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, his other memberships included 4-H Key Club in 1958, 12 years as a 4-H Club member, 7 years as a Junior Leader, 4 years FFA and Chapter Star Farmer, 8 years with the County Council, 15 years as a Jefferson Township Advisory Board member, 11 years with Farmers Mutual, 18 years as a member of Eagles Lodge #1906 and 4 years on the Raber Co-operative Board. 

Survivors include his wife, Joann Hinen of Columbia City; step-daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Hinen, Karen (Bruce) Trabert, Sally (Mike) Hinen all of Columbia City, and Jill (Allen) Seely of Fort Wayne; sisters, Rosina (Carl) Harber, Loretta (Tom) Strack, Judith Hinen all of Columbia City, and Rita (Richard) Ropp of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Kathleen Hinen of Columbia City; and 8 step-grandchildren, including: Jeremy, Justin and Jennifer Hinen, Alex and Eric Seely, Erin and Leonie Trabert, and Brandan Hinen; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas and Maurice Hinen, twin brothers, Elwin & Elvin Hinen, nephews, Douglas and Peter Hinen. 

Visitation is Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. with Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Mass of Chrisitan burial is at 10:30 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to service on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 12305 Arcola Road, Arcola, with Father Cyril Fernandes officiating. Committal service will follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.

Margie Green, 63

Margie Green, 63, of Thorncreek Township, Whitley County, died at 3 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne where she was admitted Tuesday, July 28. She had been in failing health for the past two years.

She was born February 5, 1946, in Gauge, Kentucky, a daughter of Tom and Reva (Jackson) Mullins. Following her graduation from Breathitt High School in 1964, she moved to Indiana.

On April 10, 1965, she was united in marriage to Loye Green. They made their home in Columbia City for three years before moving to Thorncreek Township. Mr. Green died January 1, 2004.

She was employed at Chamberlain Products, Fibre Form, Blue Bell and Dana in Columbia City.

Her memberships included Keith Memorial Tabernacle Church in Salyersville, Kentucky.

Surviving relatives include three children, Angela Green, Greg (Monica) Green and Ryan (Tiffany) Green, all of Columbia City; five grandchildren, Cody Sunday, Kohltin & Bailey Green, Hailie & Hanna Green; four brothers, Ray Mullins and Melvin Mullins, both of Columbia City, Ola Mullins of Fort Wayne and Alvin Mullins of Salyersville, Kentucky; and three sisters, Wanda Ritchie of Columbia City, Wilma Lee Howard of Foraker, Kentucky, and Norma Jean Back of Salyersville, Kentucky.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Delmar Mullins.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Stough Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Treva B. Mossburg, 92

Treva B. Mossburg, 92, of Columbia City, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at her home.

She was born October 29, 1916, in Whitley County, a daughter of Henry Dot & Elsie Fern (Crawford) Traster. She began her education at the McClellan School and graduated from the 8th grade at Schrader School. She attended Columbia City High School two years and graduated from Coesse High School in 1934.

On December 25, 1936, she was united in marriage to Ronald Delmer Mossburg. They always made their home in the Columbia City area, moving to their home just south of Columbia City in 1960. Mr. Mossburg died September 11, 1991.

She was a Fullerette for a year, selling cosmetics door to door for Fuller Brush Company. She gave piano lessons for a number of years, was staff organist for Hollingsworth Memorial Chapel for 30 years and was involved in the music department at Oak Grove Church of God for over 70 years. The church honored her musical contributions in September 2002 with an open house.

A member of Oak Grove Church of God since 1926, she was also a member of its Mission Circle since 1941. Her hobbies included quilting.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Beverly Sue (Dennis) Hearld; three grandchildren, Douglas (Jeanette) Hearld, Timothy (Denise) Hearld and Angela (Matthew) Adams; and eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlyn, Kristin, Carlee, Timothy & Allie Hearld, Derek & Garrett Adams, all of Columbia City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Evelyn Heintzelman and Doris Fern Harris.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Rev. Stephen Johnson and Rev. Robert Eatherton officiating. The burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
