Roy Sexton 

Congratulations to Roy Sexton, a Whitley County native and the son of Don and Susie Sexton of Columbia City. He has been selected for the lead male role of "Sid" in Canton Spotlight Players' spring musical production, "The Pajama Game." Show dates are: April 24- 26 and May 1- 9. Whitko High School senior Kelsey Mize was presented with a National Merit Scholarship award last week.

Austin Egolf and Dan Rothgeb

Congratulations to Columbia City High School wrestler Austin Egolf and Whitko High School wrestler Dan Rothgeb who competed at the 71st annual IHSAA State wrestling contest. Egolf finished in 5th place in his weight category and Rothgeb finished in 8th place.

Kara Mawhorter

Kara Mawhorter made history this week as Whitley County's first Junior Miss to win the title first runner-up. Mawhorter also won other honors, including the fitness award and an interview award and took home $3500 in scholarships.
