Kendra Zickafoose - Communications Officer for the Whitley County Community Foundation 

Kendra Zickafoose, an employee of the Whitley County Community Foundation, recently received a promotion – becoming the organization’s new communications officer.

In her new role, Zickafoose now handles all aspects of the foundation’s scholarship funds, including processing applications and coordinating the candidate interview process. In all, the foundation holds nearly 50 different scholarships, the largest of which is the Lilly Scholarship.

After seven years with the organization as the administrative assistant, Zickafoose is looking forward to the challenges of the new position. She has been with the foundation since first beginning there as an Interdisciplinary Cooperative Education (ICE) student during her senior year at Columbia City High School. She is a 2001 CCHS graduate and is now attending IPFW.

“I love my job,” Zickafoose said. “I work with the most awesome people and I get to work with the community a lot.”

“Family is important to me,” Zickafoose said. In her free time, Zickafoose enjoys spending time with her nephews, her dog, Gypsy, and likes music and animals.

Congratulations...

Whitley County native Roy Sexton will have the final run of his musical production of "Company" this weekend with Spotlight Players at the Village of Cherry Hill Theatre. Sexton is playing the lead role of "Bobby" to wide acclaim.

There will be a show on Friday, May 9 at 8 p.m. and the final show will be this Saturday, May 10 at 8 p.m. Ticket info and directions can be found at www.spotlightplayers.net  Anyone interested in traveling together to see the final performances can contact Don and Susie Sexton at 248-4143 or 244-4999.
