Anonymous donor surprises teens, teachers with lunch at Downtown on the Square
My name is Karen Koday and I teach students in the Functional Life Skills program at CCHS. Part of our curriculum involves going out into the community and gaining real world skills in the areas of dining, shopping and leisure. Today, we went to lunch at Downtown on the Square. Not only was the wait staff wonderful and the food fabulous, we had an unexpected delight at the end. Just as we were about to pay our tab, and there were 15 of us, we were informed that someone had requested to pay our bill. We were all overwhelmed and overcome with emotion. I can’t thank this person enough for their generosity and thoughtfulness. Each one of us is determined to pay it forward and find a way to spread kindness to others. I am grateful to be a part of such a caring community.
