Resident thankful for additional stop signs

Thank you to Kelly Cearbaugh, Columbia City Street Department Superintendent, for listening to public concern and taking action. Thanks to his work, East Jefferson St. is now much safer for all of the neighborhood children and the students of Mary Raber Elementary School. 4-way stop signs and 3-way stop signs were installed at two additional intersections.
The neighborhood is full of children skateboarding and biking all year, traveling to and from the pool in the summer, and walking to and from Mary Raber during the school year. These additional stop signs are an important and much needed safeguard for them.
The work of Columbia City ’s police officers to remind motorists of the stops signs is also noticed and greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Columbia City , for making our kids a priority and keeping them safe!
