Junior Achievement thankful for community support of 9th annual Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show

Thank you to all who helped make Junior Achievement’s 9th Annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle show a success.  Nearly 200 cars, trucks and motorcycles lined the streets of downtown Columbia City last Saturday morning.  Awards were given to the top 15 in four categories based on the vehicle year.  The Participant’s Choice Award went to Greg Miller, Warsaw, with his 1964 Pontiac GTO and the People’s Choice Award was awarded to Gary Pfeiffer, Columbia City, with his 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible.  Top 10 awards were given in the motorcycles category with the number one motorcycle selected by the judges was Don Dion, Churubusco, for his 2008 Custom Chopper.
Thanks to our sponsors, donations and the show participants over $4000 was raised for Junior Achievement serving Whitley County. The funds raised in our community  are used solely Whitley County so Junior Achievement serving Whitley County can continue to bring life lesson classes to over 2100 students at Smith-Green Community Schools, Whitko Schools and Whitley County Consolidated Schools.
We look forward to our 10th Annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle show on August 6, 2011.

Sincerely,
Junior Achievement serving Whitley County Board of Directors and
Linda Hyndman, Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show Chairperson
