Old Settlers Association thanks local officials for quick efforts during severe storm situation

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Old Settlers Association, I would like to thank the local officials of The City of Columbia City and Whitley County, their Law Enforcement Agencies, and the Fire Department for their work during last week’s festival.  Their quick action last Wednesday night to the severe storm that was approaching a crowded downtown area spared the community from suffering serious injuries and kept property damage to a minimum.  Also, thank you for the fine cooperation that our OSD Committee received from all of your various departments before, during, and after the festival week.  It was a pleasure working with you again this year.
Jim Brock
President of OSD for 2010
