Schrader Family grateful for community's prayers and support for Adam Schrader

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the community for your support of Adam during the past 2 months.
From the morning hours of March 20th when we received a call from Sheriff Mark Hodges notifying us of Adams accident, until now, we have been blessed by the support of this community, family, friends, co-workers and people we had never met.
Thank you to all the emergency personnel who responded to Adams accident scene.  Your quick response and years of training were put to good use.  How important that training is!  You were able to rescue Adam and get him to the hospital in that “window of opportunity” time frame.  We truly believe that the actions of all the firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, dispatchers, the Samaritan Crew, the trauma room staff and Doctors saved Adams life that morning.  Thanks to Sheriff Mark Hodges and the Sheriff’s Department staff for your support during all of this.  A special thank you goes to Trooper Joel Lemmon for his efforts to find Adam when he did not show up at the detail he was en route to.  If Joel had not located him when he did, we feel the results would have been tragic.
There are so many people, groups and businesses that have come forward and assisted our family and supported Adam.  Thank you for helping with chores at home, providing meals, taking up collections and doing benefits for Adam.  Thank you for offering moral support, sending a card, prayers, a pat on the back, a hug and words of encouragement and offering a place to stay while we were in Atlanta.  All these acts of kindness have truly been a blessing in more ways that you will ever know.  God truly had his hand in Adams recovery.  Thank you for your prayers, faith and support.
We also feel that his friends and his co-workers at the Sheriff’s Department and DePuy have encouraged Adams recovery, when they visited him at the hospital.  Your contacts with him via e-mail and texting and telephone conversations have also been very therapeutic as well while he has been in Atlanta at the rehabilitation center.  We appreciate the Rumsyre family and the support they have given.
Thanks to Chrystal for making Sadie available for Adam to talk to via the telephone and Skype.  He looked forward to that time each and every day.
To DeWayne Smith, we can’t thank you enough for being there both in Fort Wayne and in Atlanta.  Your support and dedication for not only Adam but for the family as well has been a God send.
Thank you to Cheryl McDevitt for organizing Adam’s Benefit Dinner and all the family, friends, and community people who helped and worked so hard to make the benefit for Adam a success. Thank you to all of you that donated items, both community businesses and community members. To the Grace Lutheran Church for providing the facilities and Tamara Reeves representing the Thrivent for Lutherans for their matching donation.
Adam will be returning home soon and he will be looking forward to seeing everyone.
We are part of a great community and we are truly grateful to everyone for all you have done for Adam.

May God richly bless each of you!
Adam, Cathy, Carrie, Jacob and Mike Schrader
